We believe that the success of our learners is dependent on meaningful collaboration between the learner, parent, and the school.

The ConnectED app is an essential tool for parents looking to stay engaged in their child’s education, because you really are vital to their academic success.

The app provides you with a convenient and easy-to-use interface to keep track of your child’s progress and stay informed about upcoming assessments, deadlines, and interventions.

How does the ConnectED app work?

The app provides you with a view of your child’s day-to-day learning analytics. It offers a super easy way to stay informed and reach out for support when needed.

The app will give you access to:

  • a dashboard of your child’s module progress for their courses, including completed, overdue and upcoming modules
  • a view of assessments that are due in the upcoming week
  • a weekly summary report
  • the schedule for internal tests and exams
  • direct contact with your child’s Support Advisor via WhatsApp
  • an Info Hub resource bank
  • notifications to alert you if your child misses a deadline or requires intervention.

As a parent, it’s natural to think about your child’s future and how you might give them the best possible chance of success in life. Among concerns for mental health and wellbeing, financial stability later in life is ranked among some of the top concerns by parents in South Africa and globally. Research confirms that the level of post-school study pursued by high school graduates is strongly correlated with earning potential later in life. The real question is not whether it’s a good idea for your child to study after high school, but rather how you could think about supporting them with the big financial outlay required, whether it’s for university or any other tertiary institution. In South Africa, this question is even more relevant and challenging in attempting to break the cycle of generational inequality that exists.
