Guardian ConnectED is the free mobile app for guardians of learners at UCT Online High School. It shows your child’s module progress in each subject, the assessments due this week and a weekly summary report. It also sends a push notification when a deadline is missed and opens a WhatsApp chat with their Support Advisor.

You play a big part in your child’s success. ConnectED gives you a view of their day-to-day learning and a quick way to reach out for support when they need it.
It’s designed to work alongside our Support Advisors, who check in with learners every week, so you and the school can spot problems early and act on them together.

Since ConnectED launched on the App Store and Google Play in 2023, guardian engagement has been higher than in the school year before it.
Most of our guardians are on the go. Having the information on their phone makes it easier to keep up with the school and ask for help when it’s needed.

Questions about the ConnectED app
Who can use the Guardian ConnectED app?
ConnectED is for parents and guardians of learners currently enrolled at UCT Online High School. It shows the progress, assessments and reports of the learner you’re linked to. If you’re still deciding on a school, the app becomes available once your child is enrolled.
Is the Guardian ConnectED app free?
Yes. ConnectED is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, and there’s no extra charge to use it. Search for “UCT OHS ConnectED”. On an iPhone, you’ll need iOS 15 or later.
How do I contact my child's Support Advisor from the ConnectED app?
Open your child’s profile in ConnectED and choose the option to contact their Support Advisor. This starts a WhatsApp conversation with them, so you can ask about a missed deadline or a notification without waiting for the next check-in.
